October: it’s once again THAT time of the year where I honour the tradition that makes Autumn a season worthy of its name: a sincere and deep full immersion in the Harry Potter saga. Whether this means reading the books over again, planning a movie marathon or listening once again to all the audiobooks in a row it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that one of the above must happen each year around this time. It’s kind of my way of shifting from the happy and hectic days of summer right into the cozy and poetic moments of Autumn, eventually paving the way, towards the last weeks of the year, to the magic of Christmas (I’m sure all the HP-addicted out there will feel me). This time, though, ending in the audiobooks-loop hasn’t felt quite enough and while the time for working on my October bullet journal layout was just behind the corner, it’s been but a short step. The result is what I call my little matter of pride for this last day of September: my October Harry Potter Bullet Journal Layout!
As to the shades of this October bujo, I skipped over the usual warm, orangy colours and went for violet, purple and blue instead, as these nuances really remind me of the magic steams emanating from wands, spells and potions throughout the saga. The sole exception is my House page, for which I could clearly only use the official colours – scroll down to find out more! And if you are curious to know which House amongst Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw you do belong to, you absolutely HAVE TO visit Pottermore).
What I used:
- Pilot Frixion Ball 07 black
- Stabilo Point 88 fine 0,4 black
- Crayola SuperTips
- Giotto Pastels
Now, before going into my October bullet journal, I just want to remind you that you can see more about my September Layout here. You can also find a number of pictures from my trip to the Warner Bros. Studios London – The Making of Harry Potter (the original set where the 8 movies were all shot, one of the best trips I’ve ever taken if you ask me!) – unfortunately the text is only available in Italian at the moment, but I’ll do my best to translate it ASAP. Finally, if you guys replicate this layout, I would be super happy to see your versions, so please tag me in your photos on Instagram (@elena_prizzon).
And now, on with my Harry Potter bullet journal set up!
