What happens when the whole world stops to face this huge pandemics called coronavirus and we are asked to stay home, safe and sound? Most people are cooking, many binge-watch every series available on Netflix and Amazon Prime, some read. For us bujo-addicts, forced quarantine only means one thing: get those Leuchtturm 1917 out of the drawer and sort our lives out – aka have a brand new setup ready and shiny for April to roll in.
Now, given that visiting exotic countries is something I can only aim at in my wildest dreams for the moment, it feels pretty appropriate to give this month the right twist, a taste of forbidden, a glimpse of faraway lands. So here you are with my version of I’d-love-to-travel-but-I’m-gonna-be-wise: April’s tropical leaves bullet journal set up.
Tropical Leaves Bullet Journal
Currently back home with my parents, I’ve drained all of my mom’s stock of crayons – especially when it comes to green. I used:
- Faber-Castell Classic Colour crayons
- A mix of my black Pilot Frixion Ball 07 (great in terms of ghosting, mediocre when it comes to ink resistance) and a black Stabilo Point 88 fine 0,4 (see above, just the other way round)
- The only survivor of my Crayola Super Tips Washable Markers’ collection now that I’m back in my hometown
As to the layout I’ve gone for something clean and easy to replicate – you know I am a huge fan of minimal bujos (AND I confess the Harry Potter saga currently on TV in Italy has cornered most of my attention while drawing!). I’ve also thrown some habit trackers in: I don’t normally do so since, for much that I try, I never keep up with them but since we are stuck at home I guess I might be a bit more steady this time. If not, at least I’ll know I need to stop including trackers that sadly lay there abandoned ’til the end of days!
You won’t find my daily schedule below – that’s just because I keep using the same layout over and over again and I’ve been rambling about it in loads of posts:
- Pumpkin bujo set-up
- Autumn-inspired bullet journal
- Harry Potter bullet journal layout
- Hot-air balloon September bullet journal
- 2018 bujo set-up
Also, if you are in the mood for some bujo inspo, I’m a massive pinner on Pinterest – just go and have a look, I’m pretty sure you’ll end up sucked into the marvellous and addictive world Pinterest actually is.
Now, time for some vacay mode – tropical leaves bullet journal here we come!
