BEAUTY | REVIEW: DIOR HYDRA LIFE – LOTION TO FOAM FRESH CLEANSER

It’s been a while since I last posted about skincare, so here I am with the latest product joining my favourites when it comes to preparing the skin for the day: Dior Hydra Life – Lotion to Foam Fresh Cleanser.

The Hydra Life collection, first presented during Spring 2017, is a whole set meant for the deep hydration of face and neck and promises a “fresh, glowing, and luminous” complexion. It includes 4 products for cleansing and priming the skin while eliminating dead cells and 5 for effectively enhancing its natural hydration.

LOTION TO FOAM FRESH CLEANSER

 If you like me have combination skin prone to becoming grey and dull in winter, then this is a product you’ll love. Thought mainly for young, not too problematic skin-types, it’s been created to be as purifying as a cleanser and at the same time refreshing and soothing as a toner. Held in a bright packaging, it comes as a clear liquid that once pumped out the dispenser becomes soft and foamy. I like the fact that a small push does all the work, so you don’t need to use a whole lot of it every time and can keep it lasting a lot longer than many other foam products.

I enjoy applying it in the morning as its fresh scent of white tea feels like a little treat that helps me start my routine the best possible way, but I find it works great in the evening too, when it comes to take the day off. I personally never use it as the sole make up remover as I always go in with a wipe or an oil first, but combining it with Clarisonic Mia2 gets excellent results.

Now, after one month of testing it I’ve noticed that my complexion feels more luminous and bright and imperfections have reduced reaching a smoother grain. And while I wouldn’t say the issue of combination skin has been totally solved (wish there was one miraculous product!), I find it has nicely improved and on most days I don’t need to correct shine issues, which is a great pro if you ask me!

All in all, I am in love with this cleanser and although I like to change and experiment, once I find a golden nugget I try and stick to that, so I will for sure repurchase it in the future. [Price: €33,00]
